On the second day of the Dragon Boat Festival long weekend, thunderstorms are expected in various areas during the afternoon due to unstable warm and humid weather conditions. The Weather Risk Company analyst, Eu Zongxue, warns of brief, intense rain showers or thunderstorms in mountainous regions, Greater Taipei, and the eastern part of Taiwan during the afternoon, advising people to be cautious when engaging in outdoor activities near open spaces such as mountains, beaches, river valleys, or water bodies, and to seek shelter indoors upon hearing thunder. The weather pattern is expected to continue with similar conditions the following day, with high temperatures and humidity, leading to discomfort and a risk of heatstroke for individuals outdoors, prompting the need for sun protection, hydration, and adequate rest.
