Pacific high pressure system remains, meteorologist Lin De-en warns that today the high temperatures continue, especially in the southern, central, and eastern areas where there is a chance of extreme temperatures above 38 degrees Celsius. The Central Weather Bureau has issued a high-temperature advisory for 18 counties and cities, with Pingtung County having a red alert, indicating a high probability of consecutive extreme temperatures of 38 degrees Celsius. Taipei City, New Taipei City, Hsinchu County, Changhua County, Nantou County, and Yunlin County have an orange alert for a continuous temperature of 36 degrees Celsius, while Keelung City, Taoyuan City, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Chiayi City, Chiayi County, Yilan County, Hualien County, and Taitung County have a yellow alert. Meteorologist Lin De-en warns, 'There is no hottest, only hotter!' as temperatures soar in various regions with Taipei, New Taipei, Taichung, Yunlin, Chiayi, Tainan, and Taitung recording temperatures above 36 degrees Celsius. Prevention measures against heatstroke and staying hydrated are advised for outdoor activities, especially in the southern, central, and eastern regions where temperatures above 38 degrees Celsius are still possible.
