According to the data from Taiwan's MET Service, the highest temperatures across the island yesterday ranged from 37 to 39 degrees Celsius, with today's temperatures expected to be similar. Despite generally sunny conditions, sporadic rain showers are forecasted, especially in mountainous areas. With the lingering frontal boundary in the region, extreme heat conditions persist with temperatures reaching as high as 38 degrees Celsius. Afternoon thunderstorms are predicted to develop near mountainous areas, potentially leading to flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in hilly regions in the coming days.
