The Central Weather Bureau has issued high-temperature warnings for 11 counties and cities in Taiwan, with Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Tainan City, and Pingtung County under an orange alert for a high probability of 36°C temperatures. Other areas are on yellow alert. Meteorologist Wu Derong predicts that the stagnant front will linger in southern China to the Yangtze River basin for the next two days before moving to north of the Yangtze River on Thursday, causing extremely high temperatures across Taiwan. The forecast also includes the risk of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in certain regions.
