The scorching hot weather accompanied by afternoon thunderstorms will continue for the next 10 days, with Greater Taipei expected to surpass 39 degrees, under the influence of a strengthening Pacific high-pressure system. The Central Weather Bureau has issued a high-temperature alert for 13 counties and cities, warning of heat injuries and the likelihood of extreme heat reaching 38 degrees in some areas and persisting at 36 degrees in others. Thunderstorms are expected in various regions over the coming days, with rain threats and the potential for significant temperature increases in different parts of Taiwan.
