Meteorologist Wu Derong warned that Taiwan will experience extreme heat for another 7 days, with afternoon convection expanding over the weekend leading to thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to range from 23 to 38 degrees Celsius across different regions. Wu advised caution against severe thunderstorms, heavy rains, sun exposure, and heatstroke. In the mountainous areas, the risk of landslides and flash floods should be taken into consideration.
