The Central Weather Bureau issued high-temperature alerts for 12 counties and cities in Taiwan as extreme hot weather is expected, with Pingtung County under a 'red warning' for the likelihood of hitting 38 degrees. Certain areas like Kaohsiung City and several others are under 'orange warning' for potential extreme high temperatures. The weather is forecasted to remain hot for the next few days, with temperatures ranging from 36 to 38 degrees, urging people to stay indoors as much as possible and take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
