More than two dozen of Exxon Mobil Corp.’s trading staff in Belgium declined the offer to transfer to London, risking their jobs. Out of 36 traders, 25 chose not to relocate, facing eventual dismissal once they hand over their roles to new hires in London. Exxon proposed the move as part of a global trading division expansion to increase competitiveness, citing a better trading environment and talent pool in the UK. The traders expressed concerns over pay and flexibility, leading to protests in April.
