FTNN News reported on June 21, 2024, that the Legislative Yuan voted on the Cabinet's request to reconsider the parliamentary empowerment proposal which was eventually rejected with 62 votes against 51. Prime Minister Choh Yong-tai expressed regret in an interview, mentioning the long distance within the parliament from the questioning platform to the inquiry platform. Despite efforts, he couldn't convince the majority of members to support the reconsideration, indicating the need for further effort. Choh mentioned seeking constitutional remedies through internal discussions and seeking advice from Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu for future strategies.
