A social media post falsely claimed that an Air Force pilot was willing to pay NT$300,000 to retire early due to overwork, but F-16V pilot Tsai Tung-yu clarified that the actual amount would be around NT$2,000, exposing the post as fake news and cognitive warfare. The Defense Department and security officials warned against spreading such false information, attributing it to tactics aimed at undermining Taiwan's military morale and government credibility.
