The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan recently warned of a scam where fraudulent groups are using the Consular Affairs Bureau's 'Passport Photo Upload System' to confirm appointment emails in order to deceive users into providing personal information. They advise people to confirm recent passport-related activities, avoid clicking on email links, refrain from entering ID information, and note that all consulate emails contain cautionary notes. If in doubt, individuals can contact the anti-fraud consultation hotline at 165 for assistance.
