During the presidential and legislative elections in Taiwan, residents near Huwei Town in Yunlin suddenly received a text message claiming that a missile base would be established in Huwei. Despite immediate clarification by the government, the rumor persisted and gained attention. The DPP spokesperson revealed that investigations led to the discovery that the number buyer was the company 'Shanghai Chuanglan Yunzhi' in China. It was emphasized that China's lowest-cost interference tactic is spreading false information to create societal chaos, influencing elections indirectly, even if the results are not affected directly. Authorities confirmed that the false rumor originated from China.
