In Taichung, Taiwan, a popular hot pot restaurant faced foreclosure with a starting bid of NT$87.75 million due to a family dispute over inheritance. The property, located in the Sanduo District, is near popular dining spots and had a monthly rent of NT$19,800. The conflict stemmed from the deceased grandmother originally planning to leave her estate to her eldest granddaughter, but after disrespectful behavior, she changed her will to benefit her second son's children. This led to a legal battle and eventually the foreclosure of the property. Such cases of 'representation succession' are rare, as noted by legal experts.
