A fire in Tu Cheng District of New Taipei City claimed three lives with rumors initially suggesting it was caused by a lithium battery explosion. However, during the autopsy conducted by the prosecutors and forensic experts at a funeral home in Banqiao, the family members arrived at the scene and expressed that there were no batteries involved. The fire started in a residential building early on June 13th, and while the fire department initially suspected a lithium battery explosion in the living room, the exact cause is still under investigation. Amid the tragic incident, the father and daughter managed to escape down, but the mother, son, and daughter's boyfriend perished in the blaze at the entrance. The family's denial of battery involvement conflicts with the initial speculation.
