A family of three was rescued by firefighters at Zhubei Fishing Port outside port in Taoyuan City after being swept out to sea by strong currents while playing by the beach. The incident occurred in the evening around 6:33 p.m., prompting a swift response from the Taoyuan City Fire Department. Despite rough waves, with the help of a local fisherman driving his own boat, all three family members were safely rescued and brought back to shore. The father was playing with his son and daughter when they were swept out to sea and unable to return to the shore by themselves, about 80 meters from the coast. No injuries were reported, and the firefighters remind the public to choose legal and safe swimming areas to avoid such incidents during the hot summer days.
