Family Scams Insurance for 50 Million, Buys 260 Gold Bars, Bird's Nests, and Properties

Reported 8 months ago

A criminal group was caught by the police for insurance fraud involving a family of three who faked accidents to claim insurance payouts since 2014, amassing over 55 million. They also exploited insurance claims to purchase high-priced bird's nests, health products, and even gold bars, which were found in their home alongside other luxury items. The family would fake injuries by falling on public transport or elevators, and then seek compensation from multiple insurance companies with falsified claims. Investigations revealed their elaborate scheme, leading to their arrest and further inquiries into possible collaborations with traditional Chinese medicine clinics. The family would visit numerous clinics to acquire medical certificates, allegedly in an attempt to support their fraudulent activities.
