The convenience store chain announced a May revenue of 88.36 billion yuan, a 5.68% year-on-year increase, with a total of 394.15 billion yuan for the first five months of this year, a 7.13% growth from the same period last year. FamilyMart credits the steady performance in May to growth in store numbers, fresh food, and beverages, seizing the opportunity of rising temperatures and driving overall revenue. With summer officially arriving in May, the sales of cold beverages surged, leading to a 40% growth in related categories. The performance of fresh food continued to grow steadily, increasing by 10% annually. Their bakery and sweets division excelled with popular items like the 'Flat Croissant' from Korea, while collaborations with the Japanese cheesecake store PABLO on peach-flavored products boosted revenue growth by over 10%. The new prepared foods section also saw continuous growth through collaborations with popular Korean restaurant 'Liange House' and introducing spicy Korean-style snacks and hot dogs. Looking ahead to June, FamilyMart aims to capitalize on the summer heat by introducing diversified new products, strategic marketing, and leveraging the Dragon Boat Festival holiday to drive revenue growth, alongside seizing opportunities from the '618 Shopping Festival' with their OMO advantages.
