In Lunbei Township, Yunlin County, Taiwan, a farmer named Liao in his 60s reported that his rice fields were harvested by unidentified individuals. The police investigation revealed that an 80-year-old harvesting contractor had mistakenly harvested the fields. With the intervention of mediators, the contractor compensated Liao with over NT$40,000 for the crop loss. Liao was surprised to find his crops gone and, after clarifying the situation, both parties reached a settlement. The police emphasized the importance of respecting farmers' rights during the harvest season to avoid such incidents.
