Exclusive report on a fatal car accident that occurred at 3:28 AM on June 30, 2024, in New Taipei. An SUV making an illegal left turn on Zhongxiao East Road in Xizhi collided with a scooter heading towards Keelung direction on the opposite lane, resulting in the scooter rider being critically injured. He was rushed to the Cathay General Hospital in Xizhi but was pronounced dead at 1:51 AM. Both drivers had zero alcohol levels, and the police are investigating the details and responsibilities of the accident.
