A fatal accident occurred in Taichung's Tanzi District where a 73-year-old man surnamed Bao was riding a scooter with his 11-year-old granddaughter on the way to school. While maneuvering through traffic, they were possibly struck by a connecting vehicle due to insufficient distance, causing Bao to be crushed by the rear wheel and die on the spot with severe head deformation. The granddaughter sustained minor injuries. The police are investigating the incident. This incident adds to a series of recent fatal accidents reported by FTNN News.
