A fatal accident occurred on June 21st around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Section 2, Datong Road, and Section 1, Linsen Road in Tainan City. A woman surnamed Lu, riding a leisure electric scooter for commuting, was tragically struck by a trailer truck driven by a man surnamed Li making a right turn from south to north on Datong Road towards Linsen Road. Lu was rushed to the hospital for treatment but unfortunately passed away. The authorities will investigate to clarify the cause of the accident and the liable party. Police remind drivers of large vehicles to be cautious of blind spots, utilize the vehicle's peripheral vision assistance system, observe the dynamics of surrounding pedestrians and vehicles to ensure road user safety, and urge other road users to stay away from large vehicles.
