Fujian in China has been hit by heavy rain causing various disasters, with the recent horror of a landslide at Qingyuan Mountain in Shanghang County on the night of the 16th. The ancient Qingyuan Temple with a century-long history collapsed, burying a family of six who were taking shelter inside, and their fate remains unknown. Due to continuous heavy rainfall, the rescue efforts are challenging. Fujian Province as a whole has suffered severe damage with tens of thousands affected and significant economic losses.
