A tragic accident occurred in Yilan during the Dragon Boat Festival when a motorcycle rider was killed after being hit by a car making an illegal left turn on the intersection of Nanjin Road and Huanshi South Road. The rider was sent flying over 10 meters upon impact and pronounced dead at the hospital at 2 PM. The driver of the car was found to have a Blood Alcohol Content of 0, and further investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
