A fire broke out in an apartment building on Zhongshan Road in Sānmín District, Kaohsiung City. An elderly grandmother and her two grandchildren were trapped inside, with the grandmother managing to escape with a 5-year-old girl who suffered burns, while the 2-year-old girl was rescued by firefighters but had already passed away. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The incident resulted in a tragic loss, leaving the family and community devastated.
