A fatal work accident occurred at a power plant in Taichung, Taiwan, as a worker was hit on the head by a falling conveyor belt while performing maintenance work. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the worker succumbed to his injuries. Following an investigation, the Central Occupational Safety and Health Center has ordered a work stoppage and issued fines, ranging from 30,000 to 300,000 New Taiwan Dollars, to the responsible parties. The power plant has expressed regret over the incident, provided support to the worker's family, and pledged to enhance safety training to prevent similar accidents in the future.
