A tragic workplace accident occurred in a construction site of a residential building on Qinghai Road in the West District of Taichung, where a 45-year-old worker fell from the 18th or 19th floor, suffering a fatal head injury with fragments above the jaw and brain tissue falling out. Despite the immediate report to authorities, the worker was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations by the police and relevant authorities are ongoing to determine the cause and any potential workplace safety lapses.
