A car accident occurred in the early morning of June 24 in Sannmin District, Kaohsiung, where a 27-year-old male driver, suspected of driving while fatigued, veered off course and crashed into a roadside power box, uprooting it completely. Although the driver sustained only minor injuries, the severe damage to the power box resulted in 826 neighboring households experiencing a power outage. Despite the serious incident, no other injuries were reported, and the driver refused medical treatment. The local authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.
