Faye Chen, former lead singer of the band F.I.R, was charged with false accusation against her former mentor and band leader Chen Jiannan and executives of Warner Music. Taipei District Court acquitted her, stating that the key reason was her potential 'memory confusion' as she had signed multiple contracts in the past. The court found no evidence of intentional false accusation by Faye Chen. The dispute arose from allegations of forged signatures on a 'guarantee letter'. Both parties can appeal. The court also noted that the signatures on the letter were confirmed to be genuine, and conversations among the involved parties did not mention any contract between Faye Chen and Warner Music, contributing to her mistaken belief that she did not sign the letter.
