Boston Fed President Susan Collins indicated that the Federal Reserve may begin to cut interest rates soon if inflation trends downward while the labor market remains strong. In an interview, she expressed her hope for a gradual reduction in rates towards the 2% target, with the next Fed meeting scheduled for September 17-18.
