Global policymakers, except for the Bank of Japan, are expected to lower borrowing costs in the next 18 months as reported by Bloomberg. It is predicted that by the end of 2025, an aggregate benchmark global rate will see a reduction of 155 basis points. The forecast includes the Federal Reserve making a couple of rate cuts this year, despite a delay in its plans due to US inflation. Central banks are approaching rate cuts cautiously, and the global easing efforts may face setbacks, such as in Australia and Brazil. However, overall, the trend points towards a looser monetary policy for a significant part of the world.
