FedEx Corporation has decided to permanently retire 22 Boeing 757-200 freighter aircraft from its fleet as part of a downsizing move to align with decreased parcel demand. This retirement also includes deactivating seven engines, generating a $157 million impairment charge. FedEx continues to adjust its operations, reporting an increase in adjusted operating income in the fourth quarter despite the challenging market conditions and forecasting revenue growth and improved earnings for fiscal year 2025.
