On June 24th, a female student from Yuan Ze University brought her pet to a sushi restaurant and placed it on a soy sauce plate, sparking outrage. The restaurant owner stated they would take legal action, but the Health Bureau surprisingly demanded the restaurant to make improvements within a deadline or face a fine of over NT$60,000, leading to public outcry questioning why the victim, the restaurant, was being fined rather than the student. After nearly 7 days of heated discussions, the Health Bureau clarified that they were not intending to fine the restaurant but simply reminding them to ensure food safety for customers. The incident has stirred controversy with the restaurant considering legal action against the student for her seemingly ignorant behavior.
