A female driver in China caused outrage by blocking a one-way street with a diplomatic car, refusing to move and citing diplomatic immunity when confronted. The driver was later identified as Yu Qi, a former deputy director of the China National Space Administration and the current Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization. Local authorities intervened, fined Yu Qi and her husband for traffic violations, and also addressed their illegal dog ownership and Yu Qi's inappropriate behavior. The incident sparked public anger online, leading to an investigation and penalties being imposed on the couple for their misconduct, including obstructing traffic and making improper remarks in public.
