Another incident occurred on the Kaohsiung Light Rail on June 16, 2024, when a 51-year-old woman surnamed Huang mistakenly drove her red sedan onto the tracks at 12:28 pm, leading to disruption of rail services. Police arrived swiftly, assisted in removing the vehicle, and confirmed no signs of drunk driving. Huang will be fined up to NT$7,500 for violating public transportation laws. Authorities remind drivers unfamiliar with areas to pay attention to traffic signals, never rush into light rail tracks, and promptly seek help if they mistakenly enter the tracks.
