A female sales agent named Xiaoqi (pseudonym) from Kaohsiung was sexually assaulted by a man she met through an online game, who she was signing an insurance contract with. Feeling embarrassed, Xiaoqi quickly escaped the scene after being assaulted, only realizing the severity of the situation after being scolded by a friend. The man was eventually sentenced to 3 years and 10 months in prison for forced sexual intercourse. Despite initially not planning to press charges, Xiaoqi eventually reported the man to the police after enduring continued harassment through messages and communication apps. The court ruled in favor of Xiaoqi based on her detailed testimony and the man's continual apologies, sentencing him for the crime of forced sexual intercourse.
