Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Secretary-General Lin You-chang and legislator Wu Si-yao were interviewed before the review vote on parliamentary powers at the Legislative Yuan today (6/21). To ensure smooth proceedings, the Kuomintang (KMT) caucus stationed themselves at the entrance of the chamber yesterday afternoon and entered at 7 a.m. this morning. Despite the DPP's repeated assurances of no boycott or delay, KMT legislators took turns guarding the chamber to prevent Legislative Yuan President Han Kuo-yu from presiding over the session. The KMT caucus criticized the DPP for not humbly accepting the public's trust, resorting to extreme measures and mobilizing online armies to intimidate the opposition, labeling it as anti-democracy and transparency. The DPP stressed that the 'Blue Hawk Operation' is a youth-initiated movement they do not meddle in and expect peace and rationality outside. Multiple cases serve as precedents for the review case, and the DPP will abide by the rules and urges the KMT caucus to introspect.
