After murdering his girlfriend in a park in Tainan, Filipino migrant Romeo escaped and evaded prosecution for 25 years, surpassing the statute of limitations. Recently, the Tainan District Court ruled to drop the charges. Romeo stabbed Lisa multiple times after a dispute following sexual intercourse, resulting in her death from excessive bleeding. Despite being wanted for the crime, Romeo managed to flee the country, leading to the expiration of the statute of limitations in April. The court justified dropping the case due to the exceeding time limit for prosecution.
