On June 19, 2024, the Finance Committee of the Legislative Yuan passed a temporary proposal by KMT legislator Lai Shih-pao calling for the Ministry of Finance to submit the Executive Yuan's amendment draft of the 'Financial Revenues and Expenditures Allocation Act' to the Legislative Yuan for review before the start of the session. Despite challenges in meeting the deadline due to the need to consult local governments on allocation indicators, there is a push for consensus and hope for a formal third reading approval in the upcoming session.
