PwC Taiwan's '2024 Taiwan Financial Industry Corporate Leaders In-depth Interview Special Issue' reveals that Taiwan's financial industry leaders are equally worried about overall economic uncertainty and inflation, both ranking at 56% as the 'main threats' as voted by the leaders. Geopolitical conflicts follow with a lesser percentage. The survey, conducted every two years, includes insights from 11 financial leaders such as the Chairman of Yuanta Securities, Chairman of Mega Financial Holding, CEO of Cathay Financial Holdings, and Chairman of MasterLink Securities. The leaders express concerns about the global economy while remaining confident in revenue growth, attributing this confidence to the belief that interest rates have peaked, inflation and geopolitical risks have eased, but they view economic uncertainty and inflation as primary threats.
