According to FTNN News on July 6, 2024, the Taiwan stock market saw a significant increase last week with the weighted index rising by 524.34 points to 23,556.59 points, a 2.28% increase. Financial institutions collectively purchased more than NT$18.645 billion last week, with proprietary traders buying NT$31.6 billion and selling NT$28.884 billion, resulting in a net purchase of NT$2.716 billion. Among the top purchases, financial stock Cathay Financial Holding (2891) led with over 15,950 shares bought, followed by Asia Cement (1102) and Powerchip Technology (2337). Additionally, proprietary traders also bought thousands of shares in the aviation industry giants EVA Air (2618) and China Airlines (2610).
