Amidst reports of irregularities like straw buyers and subletting in the new home loans, Financial Minister Chuang Tsui-yun stated that 73% of home buyers are under 40 years old, aimed at easing the burden on young home buyers. The Ministry of Finance has directed state-owned banks to enhance pre-loan reviews and post-loan inspections to prevent misuse without affecting the legitimate rights of borrowers. With the rising housing prices, measures have been taken to regulate credit limits for second home purchases and raise reserve requirements.
