TVBS News Network reported on June 25, 2024, at 3:12 am that Qiu Fusheng, a film and television tycoon and former chairman of a Taiwan land development company, was involved in a securities law case where the company borrowed two billion from the private sector without recording it in the financial statements. As a result, six people were summoned for questioning. Initially ordered to pay a bail of 1.5 million, Qiu Fusheng had his movement restricted with electronic monitoring and residency terms due to inability to pay the bail amount.
