Finland and Denmark, known as the happiest countries globally, are now striving for 'net-negative emissions,' where the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed from the atmosphere exceeds the amount emitted. Finland aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2035 and net-negative emissions by 2040, while Denmark targets net-zero by 2045 and net-negative emissions by 2050. They are part of the 'Group of Negative Emitters' alliance with Panama, focusing on cutting greenhouse gas emissions, expanding forest areas, and investing in new technologies to combat climate change.
