A fire broke out at 'Chiba Hot Pot' on Guohua Road in Miaoli City around 4 a.m. on June 20. Firefighters initially extinguished the flames but discovered a new source of fire when investigating the scene at 11 a.m., causing the fire to reignite. Thick smoke surrounded the building, prompting Miaoli County Councilor Yu Wenzhong to advise residents to stay indoors and keep school children away from outdoor activities. Firefighters are currently working to contain the situation.
