A fire occurred at the electrical meter box behind the restroom of the southbound service area on National Freeway No. 1 in Hukou, leading to a power outage on July 4 with the operating area expected to resume normal business on the morning of July 5. Repair work is underway to restore the power supply quickly. The incident was reported by the Hsinchu County Fire Department, and temporary power was provided using a generator for the restroom and external lighting as the store underwent a temporary power outage, leaving visible burn marks in the affected area.
