Fire Breaks Out at Foam Factory in Sanxia, New Taipei City; Authorities Advise Nearby Residents to Close Windows and Wear Masks When Going Out

On June 17, 2024, around 8 p.m., a foam factory on Hengxi Road in Sanxia District, New Taipei City caught fire. Firefighters quickly arrived to extinguish the blaze as thick smoke billowed, urging nearby residents to close their doors and windows and wear masks when going outside. The fire, which involved 101 personnel and 46 vehicles, was brought under control around 9 p.m. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, with authorities assuring that no individuals were trapped in the burning two-story factory building.
