A fire broke out at Jianguo Elementary School in Yingge, New Taipei City at around 12:02 p.m. on July 6. Flames and thick smoke were seen billowing out, causing residents to quickly report the incident. Firefighters arrived promptly to extinguish the fire, which fortunately did not result in any casualties or injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The fire originated in the pottery classroom on the fourth floor, burning a 5-square-meter area of miscellaneous items. Fortunately, as it was a holiday, no teachers or students were in the classroom at the time.
