On June 23, 2024, a fire erupted at a four-story tin factory in Da Xi District, Taoyuan, sending thick black smoke visible for several kilometers. No casualties were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The Taoyuan City Fire Department dispatched 72 firefighters, 28 fire trucks, and 2 ambulances to the scene. After containing the fire within 50 square meters, the blaze was fully controlled by 3:56 pm. Further details on the cause and damages are pending investigation.
