Reported 11 months ago

As the weather heats up, fires have become more frequent, including one that occurred on the evening of June 23 in the Wanhua District of Taipei City at the 'Diamond Building.' The fire originated on the outside of the telecommunications base station on the 12th floor, but was extinguished half an hour later with no casualties. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Firefighters quickly evacuated residents from the 10th and 11th floors and successfully put out the fire by 7:08 p.m., evacuating a total of 6 men and 5 women. The fire, approximately 1 square meter in size, was likely due to the hot weather and aging, oxidized wiring. Further details await clarification.
