On June 24, 2024, at 1:53 AM, the police and firefighters in Tamsui, New Taipei, responded to a fire at a 41-story residential building on Tamjin Road. Thick smoke was seen on the balcony of the 21st floor with no occupants inside. Firefighters broke in and managed to extinguish the fire by 12:35 PM, covering an area of about 5 square meters. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
